Bear Mat
During Madelyn's first year, we took a picture of her on this bear mat on every 16th of the month. I finally had her lay down on it the other day to show how much she has grown from one month to two years! Amazing!

Second Birthday Party
Today was Madelyn's second birthday party. She had so much fun--so much fun that she didn't nap all day! But she was asleep by 6:00 tonight! It was wonderful having all of our family here. She enjoyed the Sesame Street theme and all the great gifts she received. Thank you to all!

Dying Eggs
Madelyn was not too crazy about dying our Easter eggs Saturday afternoon. She thought she could play with them. When we put them in the dye, she wanted to take them back out. Then when we did take them out, she wanted to keep them for herself. The whole concept was beyond her yet. She did have fun cracking and peeling them open for deviled eggs for lunch today. But she thought they were "ucky" to eat.

Easter Egg Hunt
Saturday morning we went to Loganville for an Easter egg hunt. It wasn't too hard for Maddy to find them--they were thrown all over the ball field. She scooped up a basketful and then enjoyed eating the candy--some wrappers too! After the hunt, we had fun playing.

Maddy helped me make the dessert for Easter dinner. She was a big help--and enjoyed licking the spoon!

Tammie and Bill's Party
Saturday afternoon we went to Belmont for my Aunt Tammie and Uncle Bill's 30th Anniversary/50th Birthdays party. It was great seeing family. Maddy enjoyed her Easter basket from Grampa Dave.
Visiting the Easter Bunny
We visited the Easter Bunny at Grammy Mary's store on Saturday. All the way there Maddy was saying "Easter Bunny." She was so excited to see her. But when we got there, she wanted nothing to do with her! She did enjoy riding in the car cart as usual!

Kitties
We visited Great Grandma Kliebenstein on Sunday and Madelyn had her first experience with kitties. There is a cat at daycare but she has never been around little ones. She wasn't so sure!
Liz and Dave's Baby Shower
Saturday was Liz and Dave's baby shower in Platteville. My friend Sarah Wang and I helped to host the party at Liz's parents' house. It was a wonderful time of visiting, sharing stories, and eating good food. Oh, if you couldn't tell, they're having a boy!

Visit to Milwaukee
We spent last weekend in the Milwaukee area visiting my Uncle Bill, Aunt Cathy, and my cousins Kirsten and Trevor. My cousin Deb and her daughter Lauren also came to visit. We had lots of fun sledding in the back yard, going to Kirsten's basketball game, giving the little cousins a bath, and just relaxing. We also went to Nick's sister Katie's on Saturday morning. Katie and Vince made us a yummy breakfast!

Happy 30th, Liz!
My best friend from high school, Liz is celebrating her 30th birthday on Saturday! She and her husband Dave live sooooooooooooooooo far away in Connecticut. I miss her and wish I could be there to celebrate! Also congratulations go out to Liz and Dave, as they are expecting in July! We're so happy for them!

Our New President

Happy Birthday, Godparents!
Happy Birthday to Madelyn's Godparents! Auntie Katie's was two weeks ago (sorry, it's a little late--I'll blame it on the tonsillectomy). Uncle Joe's birthday is today. Hope you both had great days! Here is a picture from Madelyn's baptism when she was two months old.

We had one last Christmas on Sunday at my mom's house. At least this one, we didn't have far to travel!

Thank you to everyone who made our Christmas and especially Madelyn's Christmas such a wonderful one. We are so blessed to have such a large family full of love. I had my tonsils out a week ago Monday. Quite a treat for a thirty-year-old! I had been having lots of sore throats and apparently had some large tonsils. I decided it was time for them out! Not really the way I wanted to spend my Christmas break--but thought it was the best time so I wouldn't miss as much school. It was pretty sore at first--hard to eat and swallow--but doing much better now. I never thought I would be tired of eating ice cream, popsicles, and jello. And Nick and Maddy have been troopers through this whole thing--they've been big helpers along with my mom and Nick's mom. Hopefully the surgeon will give me the okay to head back to school on Wednesday--I'm ready to get back to normal!
